The functionality provided by the Trinsix firewall includes:

• Network Address Translation (NAT) — To keep the systems on the network invisible to the outside world.
• Email filtering — We intercept all email traffic in and out of the network to block viruses and spam.

  VIRUS protection — Trinsic Solutions uses two levels of anti-virus software for double protection. Your desktop computer will run one type of virus protection software, while our firewall will run another.

  SPAM — We block email from known SPAM sites. For email from sites that have not yet been identified as SPAM we scan for SPAM content and flag it for easy filtering. Our SPAM technology continues to evolve as the SPAMmers themselves evolve.

• Web caching — The firewall caches web access for improved (faster) performance when accessing common web sites.
• Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) — We use the Internet standard IPSEC (Internet Protocol Security) VPN protocol to secure connections between you and Trinsic Solutions as well as between your offices. In addition, for "Road Warriors" we support Microsoft's PPTP protocol.
• Updating — Security threats are evolving every day. That is why we update our firewall with the latest virus definitions on an HOURLY basis, providing you with the most current defenses. Additional updates and patches are applied in a timely manner.
